Ice On A Stove, Riding On Its Own Melting
The title comes from something Frank Auerbach said - Robert Frost had said he wanted the poem to be like ice on a stove, riding on its own melting. Frank said this was what a great painting should be like. Its a great visual to carry with you. That's poetry.
